She was predeceased by: her parents, Clementina Vela and Arturo Vela; her brothers, Armando, Carlos and Luis Vela; and her daughter Patricia Keane.
She is survived by: her sisters, Blanca Franco and Melva Petersen; her children, George Alto (Carole), Nelson Pozo, Claudia Larrosa and Cristina Larrosa (Shawn Simons); her grandchildren, Ryan Pozo, Dale (Jane Alto), Monica Gonzales (Miguel), Michael (Anthony Trabachino) and Cyrus (Trinity Simons); and her great grandchild Carla Gonzales.
