It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Helen Mongelia of North Bergen, New Jersey, who passed away on May 11, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of Helen Mongelia to show support.

She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph; her close friend John Weiss; and her brother Fred. She is survived by: her children, Jean DeMasi, Dom of Norwood, Joseph, Pattie, Jay and Annie of Harrington Park; her grandchildren, Cathy (Steve), Lori, Joe (Dina), Jill (Carmine), Jason and Leo; her great grandchildren, Matthew, Jenna, Marisa, Isabel and Santinaand Luca; and her siblings, George Liparini, Alfred, Gene, Robert, Joe, Anne, Caroline, Eleanor, Marie and Ruth. She is also survived by her kids, they all enjoyed frequent extended family gatherings with her siblings.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Helen's memory may be made to Saint Jude's Children's Hospital.

“We loved Helen so much, and we know how many lives she touched in so many ways. Our family will always remember Thanksgivings in Hampton, VA with Mama Rae and Papa Joe. The Mongelias arrived with a carful of fabulous treats from cold cuts to biscotti. Fantastic meals, card games, laughter, and love were part of the Liparini/Mongelia legacy. Helen's presence was the best dessert ever. With love, Glenda, Jay, Justin, and Alexis Anthony”
