He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Anna Jean; his children, Dennis Leegwater (Lynette) of Midland Park, Audrey Elkins (Gregory) of Byron Center, MI, Wendy Leegwater Malone of Orange Park, FL, Arie Leegwater and Rawn Leegwater (Susan) of Pompton Lakes; his foster daughter Helen Miller Sparrow (Joseph); his grandchildren, Daryl Leegwater (Erin), Matthew Leegwater (Sarah) and Cori Van Buiten; his grandson-in-law Jason; his grandchildren, Kelly Elkins, Katie Elkins, Thomas Greenburg, Zackary Malone, Levi Malone and Cody Nicole Leegwater (Blake Kruger); his great grandchildren, Jarid Wilczak and Tommy Greenburg; his siblings, John Leegwater (Phyllis) of Highland, IN, Martin Leegwater (Thea) of North Haledon, Trena Greenfield (Bernie) of Midland Park, Nick Leegwater (Beverly) of Holland, MI, Bart Leegwater (Cheryl) of Lavalette, NJ, Martha DeHoog (late Gerald) of Phoenix, AZ and Jacob Leegwater (Janice) of Ripon; his siblings-in-law, Bill Cook (Charlene) of Hawthorne, Jane DeJong (Bill) of Littleton, CO and John Cook (Trudy Talis) of Wayne; and his parents, Klaas Leegwater and Trene Leegwater.
