It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maurice J. Smith V. M. D. (Mercerville, New Jersey), born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 15, 2018, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Smith and Winifred Smith (McGovern); his wife Anne Brennan Smith; his children, Gregory Smith and Dianne; and his daughter-in-law Patricia Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Mark Smith (Maureen O'Rourke) of Ringoes, Brian Smith (Sharon) of Mercerville and Maureen Smith O'Brien (Clifford) of Honolulu, HI; his grandchildren, Shannon (Damon), Emily (Lance), Patrick (Jessie), Ann-Marie (John), Tyler (Maggie), Olivia, Connor, James and Christopher; his great grandchildren, Nora, Emmett, Drew and Bonnie; his niece Laurie Milko of Linda Mauro; his nephew Michael Torpey; his close friends, Carol Costello, Karin Sienkiewicz, Lisa Grimm, James Riley, Nancy Carroll and Mary Varone; and his pet Kip.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Maurice's memory to Our Lady of Sorrows-St. Anthony Parish and the mission of Fr. Eugene K. Savarimuthu, in India.
