He was predeceased by: his parents, James Gale and Pauline Gale; his uncle Billy Haas; his great grandchild Jacob; and his son-in-law John Burke.
He is survived by: his children, Edward Fountain Gale, Barbara Gale Burke and William James Gale (Bill); his wife Lynne Basner Gale; his children, Jessica Walker, Dylan Gale (Bree) and Brian Basner (Beather); his great grandchild Olivia Walker; his grandchildren, John (Anastasia Burke), Steve, Katie (Mike Burdman) and Jimmy (Tara Champagne); his great grandchildren, James and Lily; and his grandchildren, Alexandra and Ethan.
