It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rickard Johnston Powell of Marlton, New Jersey, who passed away on May 27, 2024, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Dale Claude Crummy Powell; and also Shirley Powell. He is survived by: his children, Ryan Powell (Jodi) and Kelsey Swift (Zach); his grandchildren, Macy Powell, Jesse Powell, Everly Swift and Lyla Swift; and his sisters, Sandi Roberts-Flores, Wendy Kutz and Cindy Murphy. He is also survived by niece and numerous nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, where Rick had planned to volunteer after he retired.

He had incredible stamina, totally enthusiastic, and had an abundance of outdoor knowledge. He was also proud to have served with the U.S. Army Special Forces as a Green Beret. He will be truly missed.”
