He was predeceased by: his daughter Virginia Massey McDowel (Gini); and his sister Bernice Jane McDowel. He is survived by: his sons, Eric O. McDowel (Mindy), Sean W. McDowel and Ian M. McDowel (Lisen); and his grandchildren, Lydia, Owen, Jack, Macy, Raelynn and Cole (Denise).
