He was predeceased by: his parents, Mildred Sloan and Edward Dionne; his siblings, Edward, Eugene, David Dionne and Sandy Sloan; his niece Donna Lavallee; and his siblings-in-law, John Williams and Barbara Kaner.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Dionne (Kaner); his children, Carole, James Jr. (Deborah) and Michael (Tomoko); his grandchildren, Krystle (Corey Brennan), Nathalie, Jeremy, Trevor, Tori, Thomas and Mariko; his brothers, Dean Dixon (Annette) and Gary Sloan (Linda); and his siblings-in-law, Leonard Kaner, John Kaner (Linda), Jacqueline Williams (Kirk Jarvis), Gwendolyn (Herb Sinning) and Nancy (Raymond Padilla). He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
