He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Carpenter and Ethel Carpenter (Reeves); and his brothers, Kenneth and Thomas (Helen). He is survived by: his children, Catherine Carpenter (Jonathan Holmer) of Valparaiso, IN, Fred Carpenter (Eileen Ferrer) of Mendham, NJ and Christine Cullen (Michael) of Madison; and his grandchildren, Thomas Cullen of Morristown and Edward Cullen of Madison.
