She was predeceased by: her father Clarence Byron; her husband Alva S. Hughes; and her sons, Jerry and Harold Hughes. She is survived by: her children, Jeffrey W. Hughes of Jersey City, N. J. and Sarah H. Holland (Robert) of Christiansburg; her grandchildren, Jodi, Audrey, Eric, Michael, Katherine and Mary; her great grandchildren, Jessica, Jonathan, Olivia, Harlow, Keith, Michael and Alan; her daughters-in-law, Betty Hughes and Rebecca Hughes; and her sister Betty Jean Abbott (John) of Catawba. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Mullins Funeral Home (120 W Main St, Radford, VA 24141). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 2nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
