It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Stanley R. Szumel of Irvington, New Jersey, born in Newark, New Jersey, who passed away on August 23, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Szumel and Dorothy Szumel (Fries). He is survived by: his wife Joy M. Szumel; his children, Rich (Sonia) of Wimington, DE, Jerry (Amy) of Toms River and Rosanne Sucheski (Chris) of Middlesex; his grandchildren, Ryan Szumel, Nicole De Angelis (Joe), Greg Szumel (Elizabeth), Erika Szumel and Natalie Szumel; and his siblings, Jack Silver and Mary Ellen Volkert.
