He was predeceased by: his parents, Owen Lavan and Mary Lavan (Philbin); his former wife Helen "Cookie" Lavan; his daughter Lisa Lavan; and his brothers, Tom Lavin, Eugene Lavan and Michael Lavan.
He is survived by: his daughters, Michele Corcoran (Michael) of Robbinsville, Karen Lavan Waltman (Adam) of Brambleton and Virginia; his fiancé Terry Moore; his siblings, Jack Lavin, Noreen Haveron, Brian Lavan, Julia Updike and JMark Lavan; and his grandchildren, Kevin Corcoran, Sam Waltman, Ellie Waltman, Lily Corcoran and Cate Waltman.
