He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Angela Dominguez Ayaso; his children, Maria Ayaso Simpson (Ed), Angela Ayaso Azevedo (Edward) and Andres Ayaso (Crystal); his grandchildren, Sabrina, Sophia Simpson, Alexander, Lia Azevedo, Adrian and Julian Ayaso; and his siblings, Flora Piñiero, Julia Ayaso, Carmen Ayaso-Lee, Ventura and Jose Ayaso.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
