He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold J. Melchior and Florence J. Melchior (Klinder); his brother-in-law Al McGovern; and his close friend James Bambrick. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn; his daughters, Lynne Bia (Peter) and Jill Allman (Jeff); his stepchildren, Cathleen Sloan (Robert), James O'Brien (Gloria), Cecelia Paterson (William) and Christine Wengler (George); his sister Audrey McGovern; his grandchildren, Jennifer Allman, Stephanie Cohen (Steven), Alex Allman, Heather Katz and Sean Katz (Lee Ann); and his great grandchildren, Alyssa, Tyler, Jaxon and Makayla. He is also survived by his step-grandchildren, step great grandchildren, and two nephews.
