It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert E. Schwalenberg (Haddonfield, New Jersey), leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Stefan Schwalenberg of Chicago, Susan Hodges (Luke) of Haddonfield, Karen L. Flagg, Cherished Grandfather of Emma, Paige Hodges, Robert "Bobby" Flagg and Dear Companion.
Age 80 of West Deptford - Formerly of Haddonfield On May 31, 2018; Of West Deptford, formerly of Haddonfield; Loving husband and high school sweetheart of the late Judith (nee Garman); Devoted father of Stefan Schwalenberg of Chicago; Susan Hodges (Luke) of Haddonfield and Karen L. Flagg (Edward 'Ted") of NYC; Cherished Grandfather of Emma & Paige Hodges and James & Robert "Bobby" Flagg; Dear Companion of Anna Maria Del Reigo. Robert graduated from Juniata College where he was an All-American athlete. He started his career at Lafayette College where he was a football and baseball coach, receiving his Master's Degree from Lehigh University. He then coached football at Columbia University and spent the remainder of his career at Camden County College, where he was a Dean, Athletic Director, as well as the golf coach. Mr. Schwalenberg's family will receive friends on Mon. June 4th, 10-10:45 AM at Lutheran Church of Our Savior, 204 Wayne Ave Haddonfield, NJ 08033 ; where his Service will follow at 11 AM. Interment Private.
