She was predeceased by: her parents, Ichimatsu Tanishita and Fumiko Yanase. She is survived by: her husband Jerry; her daughter Marie A. Lawson of Mount Rainier, MD; and her siblings, Kazuo Tanishita and Kiyoko Fujie of Tokyo.

In lieu of flowers, donations could be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or your favorite charity.
