He is survived by: his wife Joyce (Nothacker); his children, Susan Rinnier (Brian) and Charles "Chuck" Layer (Christine); his grandchildren, Cody, Dylan Rinnier, Christy Lynn, Charles, Justin and Jenna Layer; his great grandchildren, Jayden and Paisley; and his brother Thomas Layer (Fran).
