He was predeceased by: his wife Anna M. Allen; and his daughter Laurie Ann Allen. He is survived by: his children, John R. Allen, Jr. (Loretta) of Akron, OH, Mark Allen (Zophia) of Stockholm, NJ and Vickie Carmody (Christopher) of Sparta, NJ.; his granddaughter Jenna Matthews (Ian) of Columbia, SC; and his pet Lady. He is also survived by 3 great grandsons.
