He was predeceased by: his father Norman Gay; and his brother Michael. He is survived by: his mother Margaret Gay (Polton); his wife Susan R. (Talmadge); his daughter Jade M.; his stepchildren, Brent and Amanda Maloney; and his brother Jeffrey. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and close friends.
