He was predeceased by: his wife Theresa Mary; his daughter Joan Marie; his parents, Alwin Herman and Mary Jo Tapke; and his brother Alvin Richard Tapke.
He is survived by: his children, Tami (Steve), Thomas Jr., Patrick (Julie) and Theresa (Brian); his grandchildren, Amanda, Emily, Thomas III, Alan, Ricky, Jordan and Lindsay; and his sister Joan. He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
