He was predeceased by: his former wife Anne Berlin; his parents, Helen Berlin and Lou Berlin; his daughter Julie Goldman; and his son-in-law John Shaffer.
He is survived by: his wife Florence Goldman Berlin; his children, Lori Davies (Scott Davies), Lisa Berlin (Thomas Langston), Andrew Berlin (Kara Berlin), Karen Shaffer and Denise Angelo (Loren Angelo); his brothers, Robert Berlin (Ruth Berlin) and William Berlin (Susan Berlin); and his grandchildren, Jada Berlin-Langston, Noah Berlin-Langston, Travis Langston, Rebecca Davies, Jacob Davies, Danielle Davies, Lee Berlin, Ruben Berlin, Isaac Berlin, Julian Berlin, Abram Berlin, Justin Shaffer, Stephanie Menakis (Engaged), Hannah Shaffer, Jack Angelo and Maxwell Angelo. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and grand-nieces and nephews.
