He is survived by: his wife Ann Marie; his children, Sheila Labita (Anthony), Claire Thornton, Daniel Thornton and Michael Thornton (Dorothy); his grandchildren, Victoria, Julia, Cecilia, George and Eva; his brother Brian Thornton; his sisters-in-law, Catherine Thornton and Anita Thornton; his brother Joseph; his sister-in-law Carmella Reilly; his nephews, Brian Jr. and Michael; and his niece Dana.
