“I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Professor Nina Lelchuk. Although I never studied with her long-term, I remember taking a few lessons with her several years ago (as a teenager) in the summertime. Each and every one of these lessons was engraved in my memory. She was a woman with a strong personality and someone who was truly special and unique. Her knowledge and expertise of piano playing and music was tremendous, and so was her dedication to her craft. She was strict but also humorous. She was demanding but passionate about music and art. Her knowledge and understanding of technique and sound production was legendary and out of this world. I send my condolences to Professor Lelchuk and her friends, family, and students. She will be deeply missed.”
