He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Alonso and Celina Salgado; and his siblings, Luis Alonso and Anuncia Alonso. He is survived by: his wife Dolores Alonso; his daughters, Michelle Alonso-Basanta (Joseph), Janette Cardoso (Jose) and Judy Alvarez (Juan); and his grandchildren, Mia, Joaquin, Nico, Iago, Matias, Emma, Bella and Luna. He is also survived by many loving in-laws, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory are being collected by the family, to be used for the benefit of the Virgen de la Guia.
