He was predeceased by: his parents, William R. Munson and Emma A. Munson (Berkheimer); his wife Ada M. Munson (Chambers); and his son Jonathan E. Jr.. He is survived by: his daughters, Peggy A. Verna (James W. Jr.) and Patricia L. Munson; his grandchildren, Michelle Verna Knox (Jim), Nancy Verna Gill (Christopher), James W. Verna, III and Kylie Listwan Bush (Tim); and his sister-in-law Dixie Chambers. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
