She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. Carmen Campos Zita and Tomás Zita; her husband Alfredo T. Gozum; and her sister Milagros Rodriguez. She is survived by: her children, Sylvia (Jamie Shubert) of Somerset, NJ, Patricia (Celso Sánchez) of Highland Park, NJ and Alfred "Freddy" Gozum of Branchburg, NJ; her siblings, Dr. Algeria C. Zita of Manila, Philippines, Bella (Jose Mabanta) of Manila, Lucia (Dominador Cepeda) of Manila, Dr. Rosario Agular of Belmont, Zenaida (Dieter Reichert) of Manila, Philippines and Tomás C. Zita, Jr. (Katherine) of Basking Ridge, NJ; and her grandchildren, Tomás of Gabriela, CJ, Maxwell, Isabella, Grayson, Paisley and Emerson. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
