Gus Harak Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gus Harak (Bayville, New Jersey), born in Yonkers, New York, who passed away on August 28, 2019 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Harakidas and Theodora Harakidas; his brother Spiros "Harry" Harakidas; his grandson Michael DePiano; and his stepson Ralph "Sandy" Ford.
He is survived by: his wife Flora Anne Gleba; his brother Nicholas Harakidas; his children, George Harak, Janet "Joy" Weinlein and Diane DePiano; his grandchildren, Jason Gould, John Weinlein IV, Danielle Andrews, George Harak, David Harak, Mathew Ford, Kristen Ford and Rick Ford (Vern Ford); and also, Valerie Harak, John Weinlein III, Clifford DePiano and Laura Ford.
Gus was a lifelong contributor to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, (stjude.org), and in lieu of any flowers or gifts to the family, please make all donations to St. Jude's in Gus Harak's name.
