She is survived by: her husband Charles Shimmel; her children, Jack Jenkins, William Jenkins (Melissa), James Jenkins (Megan) and Lisa DeVito (Anthony); and her grandchildren, Samantha, Erika, Joseph, John, Audrey, Vincent, Ava, Ryan, Tyler and Zach.

He stayed devoted to her till the very end being her full time caregiver for the last four years as she battled the horrible disease of Alzheimer's.
