With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan A. Brooks of Barnegat, New Jersey, born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 22, 2022. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Slagis and Florence Slagis of Scranton, PA; and her former husband Carl Brooks. She is survived by: her brother Gerald Slagis (Pauline) of Roseville, CA; her children, Cynthia Gamble (Robert) of Hockessin, DE, Jeffrey Brooks of Bedminster, NJ, Steven Brooks (Monique) of Matthews, NC and Eric Brooks of Miami, FL.; and her grandchildren, Evan, Austin, Meghan, Griffin, Logan and Dalton.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Barnegat Food Pantry (360A North Main St. Barnegat NJ).
