He was predeceased by: his parents, Hector and Jessie (Turner); and his brother Philip. He is survived by: his wife Debora (Gordon); his children, Melanie Longo Schofield (Robert), Benjamin (Lori) and Etan Nasreddin-Longo; and his grandchildren, Richard Tucker and Amanda McDonald Wertman (Tyler). He is also survived by nieces and cousins.
