She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Cote and Lillian Cote. She is survived by: her husband Richard "Ben" Thornton of Franklin; her children, Craig Thornton (Diane) of Ellicott City and Dr. Kristen Thornton (Steven) of Rochester, NY; her sister Marlene Hershfield (Larry) of The Villages; and her grandchildren, Abigail, Kaitlyn Thornton of Maryland, Noah and Annika Hope Brauksieck of New York.
