He was predeceased by: his father Edward Dempsey; and his grandparents, John, Frances Buckley, Helen and Thomas Driscoll.
He is survived by: his mother Barbara MacDonald; his stepfather David MacDonald; his siblings, Kevin Dempsey (Vickie) and Muirin S. Buan (Kathleen); his stepsiblings, David MacDonald Jr. (Linda), Phillip MacDonald, Matthew MacDonald (Daniela) and Pamela MacDonald (Laurie Clark); his aunt Ellen Walker (Adam); and his uncles, John Buckley, Thomas, Donald, Paul and Ronald Driscoll.
