It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Les Schlecht (West Point, Nebraska), born in Wisner, Nebraska, who passed away on March 29, 2020, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Schlecht and Eleanore Schlecht; his wife Margaret Wortman (Midge); his children, Randy Schlecht and Suzy Hahn; and his brother Lloyd Schlecht.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Jennifer Moore, Schott Hahn (Justine), Anthony Schlecht (Morgan) and Allison Riley (Tom) of Arizona; his daughter-in-law Cindy Schlecht of Arizona; his great grandchildren, Joey, Pedro Villa, Meredith, Maggie and Matthew Schlecht of Arizona; his siblings, Lillian Heller (Andy) of Wisner, NE, Lanise McDermott of Scribner, NE and Larry Schlecht (Deanna) of Scribner, NE; and his sister-in-law Marian Schlecht of Scribner, NE.
Memorial services will be held at a later date due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
