He was predeceased by: his wife Ruth; his daughter Lori; and his brothers, Robert, Harold, Jack, Marion and Glen.
He is survived by: his children, Vickie (Roger Wenzl), David Jr. (Karen Wolken), Jerry (Jeanne Wolken) and Lynn (Frank Buss); his grandchildren, Russ Wenzl (Allison), Adam Wenzl (Anne), Kellen Heideman (Kelsey), Kaci Wolken (Kaylor), Kale Wolken (Maggie), Matt Urkoski (Tyra), Derek Wolken (Christina), Brittany Nepomuck (Corey), Beth Wolken, Jason Buss (Melissa), Amy Buss, Carri Dyer (Chris) and Mandy Barkhaus (Tom); his sister Helen Silva; and his sisters-in-law, Frances Wolken and Cherie Starlin. He is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren.
