He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen McGee and Mable McGee; his brother Allen McGee; and his parents-in-law, Lawrence and Geraldine Brachtenbach.
He is survived by: his grandson Lane; his wife Corinne Brachtenbach; his daughter Jo Steffens; his grandchildren, Danielle Svoboda (Jonny), Kristyn Steffens (Lane Stuart) and Nicholas Robbins of Kansas City; and his sister Leanna Peterson of Sidney.
