He was predeceased by: his grandparents, William E. Gehrig and Hazel Gehrig; his parents, William E. "Bud" Gehrig and Billie Jean Gehrig (Breid); and his granddaughter Taylor.
He is survived by: his wife Julie Modlin of Sidney; his children, Jennifer (Scott Doyle) of Casper, WY, Amy (Cory McManigal) of Kimball, NE and Donald Kent Gehrig of Charleston, SC; his grandsons, DeLane Doyle of Philadelphia, PA, Broderick Doyle of Casper, WY, Toby McManigal of Laramie, WY, Tyler McManigal of Kimball, NE, Brayden Gehrig and Chase Gehrig of Charleston, SC; and his siblings, Patti Stearns and Bob Gehrig. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
