He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Shaffer and Myretta Shaffer (Culver); his sisters, Donna McKenzie and Beverly Frisbee; and his son Roy Shaffer.
He is survived by: his son Robert Shafffer of Roulette, PA; his brothers, Carl Shaffer of Smethport, PA and Larry Shaffer of Port Allegany, PA; his grandchildren, Justin (Angela Hatridge), Joshua, Jordon (Kayla) and Michaela Peitzmeier; and his great grandchildren, Aaron, Trevor and Emma. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
