He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph F. Vrba and Mayme Vrba (Horak); his son-in-law John Joaquin; and his siblings, Alice Loseke, Norma Kittman, Agnes Lueke, Vlasta Vrba, Barbara Evans, Helen Payzant, Lambert and Joe Vrba, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Elaine Pieper; his children, Jacilyn Joaquin of Omaha, Cindy Olsen (Rick) of Omaha, Charles J. of Schuyler and Robert Vrba (Darli) of Schuyler; his grandchildren, Joseph, Samantha, Ben, Jerry Vrba and McKayla Olsen; his great grandchildren, Henry and William Vrba; and his siblings, Thomas Vrba of Pennsylvania and Pat May of California.
