He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow Snyder and Charlyn Snyder; his son-in-law Roger Townsend; his sister Twilyn Snyder Flaherty; and his brothers-in-law, Larry Schif and Ken Haverfield.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Sue Ward; his children, Brian Gene (Colette) of Rushville, NE, Kevin Dean (Angela) and Angela Lynn of Chadron, NE; his grandsons, Cole Witt, Riley Snyder, Tegan Snyder, Kazden Snyder, Talon Snyder, Slade Snyder, Hunter Townsend and Gunnar Townsend; his brother-in-law Gerald; his brother Ronnie (Jean); his sisters-in-law, Donna Schif of Bonner Springs, KS and Maxine; and his uncle Donald Watson of Kalispell, MT. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends.
A memorial has been established to benefit the Smith Lake Wildlife Area.
