With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elizabeth Louise (Orton) Holt (Plattsmouth, Nebraska), born in Percival, Iowa, who passed away on October 20, 2019 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lionell Jay Orton and Vesta Elizabeth Orton (Barrett); her husband Verlin Holt; her siblings, Sylvia Rose, Mae Calderwood, Patricia Orton, Everett, John, Sydney, Frank and Frederick Orton; and her grandson Brian Meldrum.
She is survived by: her daughters, Judith Ann, Sharon Lea, Judy Straw (Bill) of Plattsmouth, NE and Sharon Meldrum (Steve) of Bellevue, NE; her grandchildren, Heather Zuger (Brian) of Bellevue, NE, Holly Balzer (Jason) of LaVista, NE, Joe Meldrum (Aubri) of Omaha, NE and Lindsey Meldrum of Bellevue, NE; her great grandchildren, Ashton, Addison Balzer, Greta and Mable Meldrum; and her brother Dale Orton (Vera) of Nebraska City, NE. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Interment of ashes will be in the Sidney, IA Cemetery and memorials will go to the Sidney Rescue Squad or the Family's choice.
