It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lonita M. Staples (Ogallala, Nebraska), who passed away on February 9, 2020, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter S. Gake and Marchen M. Gake (Dinkleman); her husband Donald A. Staples; her siblings, Corrine Hiner (Keith), John Gake and Lloyd Gake; her daughter-in-law Linda Staples; and her brothers-in-law, Kenneth Staples and Oran Magnuson (Janet).
She is survived by: her children, Theresa Ann West (Bob) of Lincoln, Nebraska, Debbie Towndrow (Randy) of Holdrege, Rick Staples of Los Lunas and Tamara Belmudez (Abraham) of Thornton, Colorado; her grandchildren, Heather, Todd, Mandy, Brandie, Heidi, Christina, Phillip, Fatima and Tonya; and her stepgrandchildren, Barrett and Cathy. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
A memorial has been established in Nita's honor, and kindly suggested to the Bertrand Veteran's Organization.
