It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Larry Dean Smalley of Norfolk, Nebraska, born in Plainview, Nebraska, who passed away on September 28, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Smalley and Freda Smalley (Hoffart); his former wife Wanda Wiegert; his brothers, Ron Smalley, Eldon "Jack" Smalley and Michael "Dennis" Smalley; his stepson Perry Clause; and his stepson-in-law Michael Tyler.
He is survived by: his wife Marie Clause (Zook); his children, Randy Smalley (Tammy) of Norfolk, Jill Kassen (Gordon) of Omaha and Julie Smalley (Larry Zehfuss) of Daufuskie Island, SC; his stepdaughter Pam Tyler of Le Mars, IA; his sisters, Donna Galvin of Norfolk and Pat Ronk (Les) of Indian Mound, TN; and his sisters-in-law, Mary Smalley of Norfolk and Gloria Smalley of Norfolk. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and seven step grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and ten step great grandchildren.
