Delores A. Sewell Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Delores A. Sewell of Norfolk, Nebraska, who passed away on October 13, 2023 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Sadie Van Doren (Pittack) and Roy Van Doren. She is survived by: her husband Robert "Bob" Sewell; her sons, Mark Sewell and Scott Sewell; her brother Melvin; her children, Dean Sewell (Pamela) of Lincoln, Marsha Stewart (Lynn) of Norfolk and Lana Zimmerman (Don) of Temple, Texas; her daughter-in-law Kathy Sewell-Jensen of Pewaukee, Wisconsin; her brother Everett Van Doren (Janet) of Tennessee; and her sister-in-law Edra Van Doren of Utah. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many extended family and friends.
She helped make and donate over 300 quilts to the Orphan Grain Train, donated quilts to several Norfolk Lutheran High raffles, and made every one of her grandchildren a crocheted blanket with individual themes as they were growing up.
