He was predeceased by: his parents, Forest E. Bruner and Aletha L. Bruner (Daniels); his brothers, Donnie, Raymond and Gene Bruner; his sons-in-law, Rick Miner and Allen Hansen; and his sister-in-law Connie Bruner.
He is survived by: his wife Ginger May Bruner (Persinger) of McCook; his children, Craig Bruner (Kristi) of Show Low, AZ, John Bruner, Jr. (Abbey) of Sioux Falls, SD, Sherry Hansen of Osborne, KS, Lucille Light (Mike Light) of McCook and Ruth Miner of McCook; and his brothers, Robert Bruner of Emmett, ID and Floyd Bruner (Ellie) of Great Falls, MT.
