He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Brecks and Sophie Brecks (Ostendorf); his wife Bonnie; his stepmother Wanda Brecks; his sisters, Diane Brecks, Ethel Fox, Alice Dorsey and Glenda Martin; his half-sister Cindy Acton; his stepbrother Larry Deeds; his sister-in-law Myong Brecks; and his son-in-law John Parker.
He is survived by: his children, April Stokes (Sterling) of Springtown, Rachel Brecks (Joe Houser) of Lexington and Bill Brecks (Abby) of Lexington; his granddaughters, Emily Houser (Oscar Bojorquez) of Kearney and Haley Orantes (Julio) of Lexington; his great grandchildren, Evan, Eliberto, Nayelli and Andre; his brother Jim Brecks of O'Fallon, Illinois; his brothers-in-law, Don Fox of Cozad and Bob Martin of Lexington; and his stepsister Rosemary Hofferber of Kearney. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
