With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charles Messerschmidt of Lexington, Nebraska, who passed away on June 22, 2022 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his stepmother Elinor Messerschmidt; and his son Kelly Messerschmidt. He is survived by: his wife Maydelle Messerschmidt; his daughter Carla Pfeifer (John); his grandsons, Christopher Pfeifer (Meredyth) of St. Louis Park, MN, Michael Pfeifer of Omaha, NE and Daniel Pfeifer; and his daughter-in-law Jane Messerschmidt of Lincoln, NE..

Memorials will go to Trinity Lutheran Church and other organizations to ensure that his love for church music continues.
