She was predeceased by: her parents, Jerome Chesness and Annette Chesness; and her brother Kent Chesness. She is survived by: her husband David L. Thompson; her children, Kenton and Kody Thompson; her siblings, Keith Chesness (Diane) and Diana Johnson (Ryan); and her nieces and nephews, Ryan, Kayla, Amanda, Jaeden and Tessa.

In Lieu of flowers memorials have been suggested to the family.
