He was predeceased by: his parents, August Koester and Elfieda Koester (Kulbe); and his siblings, Alice Shepherd and Don Koester. He is survived by: his former spouse Jessie King; his wife Arlene Goodman; his children, Rodney Koester (Lori) of Gillette, WY, Steven Koester (Faye) of Clarksville, TN, Penny Koester Day of Thermopolis, WY, Sherri Goodman of Ft. Collins, CO, Jackie Hoppes (Dan) of Kimball and Darla Klinkhammer (Dave) of Kimball; and his brothers, Stan and Vern (Barb) of Padroni, CO.. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in his memory to the Kimball Volunteer Fire Department or the Kimball County Manor.
