He was predeceased by: his parents, James McGinnis and Ruth McGinnis (Hobbs); his sister Sharon Bowdre (Joe); and his nephew Eric Bowdre. He is survived by: his wife Linda McGinnis of Kimball, NE; his children, Bonnie Howard of Kimball, NE., Brandie Wasielewski (Keith) of Bushnell, NE. and James McGinnis (Julie) of Kimball, NE; his grandchildren, Rick Wasielewski (Dani), Monica Wasielewski (Trevor Jensen), Jordan Cluff, Lane Wasielewski, Connor McGinnis, James McGinnis, Patrick Howard, Cameron McGinnis and McKenzie Howard; and his great grandchildren, Avery Wasielewski and Ryker Wasielewski.

Memorials may be given in Dan's memory to the Kimball Eagles or Kimball VFW.
