He was predeceased by: his parents, James A. Wassom and Lorna Wassom (Aufderheide); his wife Sharen White; and his parents-in-law, Everett "Red" and Elberta "Birdie" White.
He is survived by: his children, Marion Baumfalk (Richard) of Beatrice, James M. Wassom (Anna) of Alexandria and Katherine Herman (Larry) of Fairbury; his brothers, Donald Wassom (Karol) of Chester and Robert Wassom (Carla) of Hubbell; his sister-in-law Judith Heidemann (Kenny) of Tecumseh; his grandchildren, Billie Wassom, Micheal Baumfalk, Jared Herman (Bailey), Colleen Wassom, Michelle Baumfalk, Rodney Wassom and Jason Herman; and his great grandchild James Herman.
